Thought I had posted this before but don't see it. Will post to Larry's Tire site later. A note to all on tire performance slightly off the road. I've been running Michelein Agilis 185R14's on my '90 Westy for four years. About 50% or better tread left. I've been very happy with them. But last weekend at the WetWesties camp out near Corvalis I found their limitations. They ain't worth a damn on wet grass and light (but very slippery) mud. I Got stuck twice in 50 feet on near flat terrain. So as great a road and rain tire as they have been, I'm going to be very careful driving into wet grassy fields in the future. BTW, about half the Vanagons and Buses coming into or leaving the event had problems and needed to be pushed or towed at one point or another and type, size and brand of tire didn't seem to make much difference. The only vehicle that had no problem at all was an SVX powered Syncro.
