I have to disagree. Aside from the general issue of the inappropriateness of
publicizing personal exchanges, either on the net or in real life, these
intensely personal issues have always been forbidden on the list and for
very good reason.
While we often range far and wide off topic (and yes, I'm aware that I'm as
guilty as that as anybody), and while we occasionally brush up against these
volatile topics, there's a difference between the normal spice of human
interaction and risking these all-out blowouts that render the list useless
and unbearable.
I'm sure we all have our character quirks that others would consider
negatives. I don't see how we could possibly be 'aware' of these things in
each other to any practical extent, nor why we should. We don't have to live
with each other, we just read each other's emails.
There is the issue of using someone's pmail address, which is available
solely due to association with the list, to send unwelcome pmails but when
that happens it's an issue for the individuals involved and the list admin.
JMHO,
Robert

I think it is entirely appropriate for Monte to publicise Robert Keezer
personal broadside.
If Mr Keezer's bias is such that he can construe Mr Merrick's post as part
of a left-wing conspiracy, then that is a facet of his character that we all
should be aware of, especially in light of his recent crisis.
I am pretty sure that if Mr Merrick was part of this community at that
time, he would have done the neighbourly thing and helped Mr Keezer out.
