< Date: Mon, 24 Apr 2006 21:49:58 -0400 From: Brian Honan <cartruckbus@GMAIL.COM> Subject: End caps Just recently purchased new end caps, the "Hardware" is nothing more than a little shim that seemed not necessary and a simple mushroom head black bolt. The price of the "hardware" is $5 !!!!! Brian Honan > I too bought a new end cap (have an '84), but I'm still just a little confused. On the bumper, in the front, are two holes that would appear to not be used. On the cap, there is the one center hole for the carriage bolt, but no matching hole in the bumper. Is this carriage bolt (black bolt) just a cosmetic thing? Is the cap only held on by the two little plastic slide projections on the top and bottom and the side screw at the rear? Or is there some other hardware I need to buy. Rich |
