I know this sounfs reak flakey but ... So as I finish the rusted body work on the rear arch // appliance panels my thoughts turn to getting the 85 Van painted I get the usual nonsense quotes 5K plus then 2K, then 800 ... So i start reading about paint & come across the story on samba http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=159142&postdays=0&postorder =asc&start=0 longer story here http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=QuestionAnswer& Number=2331682&fpart=&PHPSESSID=6cb393ce49bcfaa688cd75826c302d09 about a Cdn guy from To that has painted a number of vehicles with tremclad rust paint & foam rollers and much labour ..... I was just wondering if any body else has ever tried this technique on there Vanagon, what I like about this is that I dont what a realy perfect job because I'll want to take the van to the 4x4 road, the forestry service areas and I dont want to worry about normal off road camping scratches ... and I know this tremcladis very much an industrial paint of have used it for years on metal rails, outdoor gear & left it out & never had to worry about it ..
