You do not have to change your squares, Frank Condelli offers a relay and bulb upgrade for the stock vanagon square / rectangular lights: http://members.aol.com/Fkc43/hdltrela.htm No mod to the lights, no mod to the buckets, just a wiring mod to handle the higher wattage.
