Volks, I have a 1989 Syncro Double Cab Transporter here that I need to sell so I can pay some taxes.
- 1989 US Army Syncro Double Cab - No rust, very minor dings here and there - NATO Aluminium canopy - same style as on my TriStar only better condition. - Five seater - Apox 225.000km / 140.000 miles - 1.9L carbureted wasserboxer engine with 78hp rebuilt less than 60.000km ago with receipts. - Limited slip rear differential - Good tires / good glass / good seats
"Bad stuff": will occasionally pop out of 1st gear - should get a new synchromesh. Engine idles at about 1000rpm when warm. Hand painted from Olive Drab to Grey - looks well done, but you can tell when you open the doors it was originally grey.
Until April 30th, I will offer it at $10.000 Canadian "as is", you come and get it. No, I don't have info on paperwork for the USA. After that I will get a small loan to pay my taxes and the truck will be turned into a Diesel and work will be done to it make this ducking into a swan. I think the price I am asking is definitely worth it to get this highly sought after canopy and you could part the rest of it out!
