I get along great with UPS drivers; I even considered becoming one for
awhile.  Went and looked at the operation, talked with a bunch of people,
and really thought about it.  I've always had great relationships with the
drivers and with the counter folks at the stores, depots, etc.

But when there's a failure from the first moment of contact all the way down
the line, it points to larger problems within the company.

As a former employee of a large, service-oriented company which at one time
had a sterling customer service record which devolved into complete mayhem,
it appears to me that UPS neither wants nor cares about my business.

What it comes down to is this:  my Vanagon looks dumb with three alloys and
one steel wheel.
