Hello Folks,

Sorry for the crossposts to those who are on Multiple Lists

I just came back from my trip and brought back two samples (or more accurately, two production sets) of the front wheels arches which were replicated from the one set of originals that I had. The copies are so well done that they even got the stippled texture seen on the originals. Thickness is about the same so mounting on your Syncro or Vanagon would be accomplished just like the way VW intended them. The holes have even been drilled in the same spot. All you'll need to mount them is the same 3M tape that VW sells for the factory originals (you can buy this from just about any autobody parts stores) and rivets or screws depending on your preference. Flexibility approximates that of the original plastics pieces. You actually twist these copies with your hands and see it spring back. The fabricator told me it is the due to the type of resin they use. They are painted flat black.

Anyway, there are only two sets available now because I did not want to commission so many sets until I had firm orders based on these samples. They will be available to see and test fit side by side with the real deal at Syncro De Mayo in Hollister but only on Saturday. I am only there for one day.

Matching rear sets will be fabricated to match on my next trip about 90 days from now. I will guarantee you can purchase rear sets if you buy one of the sample front sets. These rear sets were not available from VW. I am having them made from Tristar pieces with the arches trimmed to match the front arches. These are not the same as the Syncro 16 arches as they do NOT require cutting any part of your Vanagon, Syncro, Doka or Singlecab.

Due to different pricing which depends on the number on pieces ordered, I cannot finalize price until deposits are receive for on all orders. Pricing is different for those who asked prior to this posting.
