Does it have gas?  I mean is the tank empty?  If so have someone feel the
fuel pump while you try to crank it to see if the pump is humming (pumping
gas).  Let us know what you find out.

My 1991 Vanagon won't start.  The battery is new and it turns without any
problem.  Started seems to be turning...it just won't start.  It should be
getting gas but I don't smell it.  Any ideas?
