hi

checked website for john brown's buses -couldn't tell if there was any reason more than the original harper's ferry location for the use of john brown's name - is this campout in any way tied to anti-racist reform work - i mean john brown has historically been quite a polarizing figure so i'm just hoping that the group is sensitive to that and a descendent of the fierce anti-slavery work of john brown and his allies (you know harriet tubman and frederick douglass, et al - also fine american heroes.)

thanks for any clarification

Folks,

Just received some new info on JBB 2006! You'll find plenty of updated info here: http://www.johnbrownsbuses.com/

Here's a quote from Sharon, the Fearless Leader!

"The campground is reserving a whole loop in the campground for us. Each site is $26.00 per night and sharing sites is OK, which brings the cost of a site with electric to $13.00/night for two buses.

Here is what everyone needs to do: send a deposit for one night ($26.00) to :

Brunswick Family Campground 1 West Potomac Street Brunswick, MD 21716

Include a note that you are with the VW bus group, on the weekend of Railroad Days, so you will be placed in the right area.

Last time I spoke to the lady there, she still seems really excited about having us, which is nice."

Hope this helps. If you have any questions don't hesitate to email me."

Sharon (toby.gun@verizon.net)

"I long ago lost a hound, a bay horse, and a turtle dove, and am still on their trail. Many are the travelers I have spoken to concerning them, describing their tracks and what calls they answered to. I have met one or two who had heard the hound, and the tramp of the horse, and even seen the dove disappear behind a cloud, and they seemed as anxious to recover them as if they had lost them themselves." - henry thoreau
