So, when I was removing my CV joints from my front diff and transmission, almost all of my bolts were of the triple square variety....except on one CV, which had 6 allens instead.

So, which is considered "better"? I went by my VW dealer, and when the ordered some, they came in as allen head, not triple squares.

They had some triple squares available, but they were slightly shorter (5mm maybe) and the threads didn't extend as far.

Many are the travelers I have spoken to concerning them, describing their tracks and what calls they answered to. I have met one or two who had heard the hound, and the tramp of the horse, and even seen the dove disappear behind a cloud, and they seemed as anxious to recover them as if they had lost them themselves." - henry thoreau
