Thanks for the post, Joy.  There's no danger inherent in removing
those latches?  I guess my worry would be that the seat would fold up
on my 3 boys if I ever slammed on the brakes ...  Regardless, there
is still the issue of one of the posts wiggling around.  That just
seems a bad thing.  I guess I'll have a go at it with a wrench or
whatever next weekend.

Yes, I'm at MIT.  But not on campus; Lincoln Lab is in Lexington.
