Subject: ok lets talk about wheel vibration now (2wd)...
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

We'll I just asked about small play I feel in the front end but now let me tell you about my new wheel/tires too.

Old setup was 14R185 with no vibration or problems in the front end. Only a "slight" pull to the right, but nothing alarming

Now I just put new 225/70R15 with alloy rims on my 1986 Westy (2wd). I've now got a vibration (wheel wiggle) from about 55-75mph and it pulls considerably to the left. Enough that I will take it for a front end alignment tomorrow.

Most vibrations at a particular speed or range in my experience have been related to wheel wear or balance. We rotated the new rear tires to the front to eliminate the thought of a bad tire out of balance, but the vibration (wheel wiggle) is still there.

Any thoughts before I take this to my alignment guy and start bugging him? Can the larger tires (obviously more weight) pull anything out of place?

Shawn
