I haven't looked lately, but there has always been a significant
difference between the Kelley BB and the NADA book. Kelley is always
higher in  the valuation, and the NADA lower.  In the past most lenders
whith whom I came into contact with used the NADA book, thus always
insuring the lwer lending rate.. It always put them on "Safe" ground.
10% down payment on an already lowballed NADA price, kept them
relatively safe so far as being secure in the deal went. Banks always
like to be able to dump the vehicle and get their money out with the
least effort, and the less they have in, the easier to get out. Makes
good banking sense, but doesn't help the consumer.
