Quoting John Goubeaux <john@UCSB.EDU>: > I have a follow up question on this topic: > > When replacing the front bearings, can they be removed without a puller? > or are they pressed into the rotor? > I also assume that new rotors are likely to come with races included? I did my front bearings last weekend, so the details are fresh in my mind. New rotors do not include bearing races. I bought new bearings and pressed them into the rotors using an arbor press here at work. They weren't super-difficult to press in, so transferring the races to new rotors seems do-able. I use Tom Carrington's site as a reference, as he has a great write-up on the procedure, including removing the bearing races. ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program. |
