Yes, one spline ... But it is the way to do it is what makes it important to know. Mark present position both direction. Learn which way to move the one spline, because the operation is like a teeter-toter and one has to think that way. Which way is third and first when moving the transmission's shaft. All these are that play a role in doing it correctly, and probably some of you can add more. Laying under the car, one can get disoriented and do it the wrong way.
