My memory is foggy but lore has it that when the japanese overran the south pacific (as in Manila) during WW 2. the US govt planted a lot of hemp in places like Ohio to secure a supply of rope for the Navy. Old hippy tales indicated there were still a lot of "patches" that survived the return to corn. (and corn liquor?) Seems like friday here, just emerging out of a Tax filing haze. Time to repair a few niggling things on the westy and get some fresh perspective in the mountains!
