I recently had the whole throttle assembly out of my van, trying to get the switch to adjust. I found several problems, all inter-related.
  The cam actuator for the switch had so much wear, it could not be adjusted out.
  The throttle shaft wobbles in its bore.
  The contact face of the switch itself was worn - badly.

  The remedy for the wear on the actuator face of the cam was good old "gel" superglue. I used that to carefully build the profile of the cam back up, so it could be adjusted as needed. I first tried soldering a shim to the switch, but found out the little arm is stainless steel. Drat!

  As for the Shaft, well, I am just stuck with it...
