Subject: Price on used engine/tranny needed (2 litre AC)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Hi all.

Have a line on 2.0 litre AC engine + 4 spd. tranny from 81 vanagon.

Engine has most parts, but missing air cleaner housing and much sought after boot that connects to it. Seems to have most parts though. Tranny looks ok. Owner has not heard/seen these parts running, but is quite knowledgable of VW's and runs his own shop for making custom parts. (4x4 etc). He thinks engine likely ran before being removed and partially harvested for parts.

Any idea/opinions as to what an untested mostly complete engine plus complete tranny is worth?

This guy also has most of the interior Westy cabs, *cooler*/sink unit and bench seat out of an 81 Westy. I believe he has the pop top too, but no canvas. Can supply his ph. # offlist to those wanting it.

TIA,

Neil Nicholson 1981 2.0 litre AC Westy
