I don't like that style, weak design. What I did was take one of those inexpensive ones from Wal-Mart or autoparts store that you are supposed to hang from the window sill and I cut off the top part and drilled a hole in my instrument cluster cover on the left side and attached it there. Sturdy, out of the way of everything and easy to reach. The passenger is on their own.
