i have a setup like this: http://www.alpine-usa.com/products/leading_technology/leading_tech_kca -420i.htm

it's great as the ipod box sits inside the dash and the ipod connects through a cord in the glovebox. the unit also charges the ipod. the coolest thing about this setup is that the headunit is designed for this use and actually controls the ipod. you basically connect the ipod and forget about it.

however, i just discovered that the ipod box was draining my battery when the van was off. the solution is to detach the face of the headunit when the van isn't in use for several days.

hope this helps! dusty. On May 4, 2006, at 5:39 PM, robertmstewart wrote:
