John,

Sorry for the delayed response we were doing inventory at work last week & weekend.

Current fuel prices in Anchorage average around $2.81 regular. Fairbanks is about the same, maybe a couple pennies more. Palmer is at $2.85. Wasilla is at $2.91. Glennallen has no information posted but Valdez is averaging $3.21. The website I used, gasbuddy.com, had no information for any other part of the State that you can drive to. Probably because most of them only have one or two stations and will be priced the same. I could not get anything in the Yukon Territory to come up on this site, I had hoped to at least get Whitehorse. British Columbia does come up but you need to convert to U.S. figures. I think that you should try to come this year if possible as I don't see it getting better any time soon. I now money is tight but maybe you can make it work. Do you know anyone up here that needs something brought up, or needs a ride up? You might be able to offset the fuel prices that way. You could always stash a load of pot, meth, coke, etc, in the van and sell it when you get here.:-)
