The wire/spring-steel pad retainers do not seem to have a way of being used with these Audi "large" pads.

Bob,

I spoke to Sonny who is the person who worked on development on this kit at Overland. He said he has no problems fitting the pad retainers and actually had the brakes installed in his own Vanagon and another in his wife's van. After hearing this, I went to my local Overland dealer to to check out these pad retainers in person. They seemed odd shaped until I looked to see how they are installed on a nearby late model Jetta. I copied the install and BOOM! I got retainers. I put one end of the retainer in to the hole on the side of the caliper first, then pressed the opposite tip into place.

For those who might want these, my dealer Bruce says he has three more on hand and asked if I can take them to SdM for him. $575 no sales tax, no shipping. If you want to pay him by credit card, pmail me and I will put you in touch with him. I have no financial interest in this. Just thought some of you might save a few bucks this way.

Regards,

-- BenT
