Well, I looked at the pickup camper top foam. It is about 1 1/4 inch wide and has a sticky backing. Dont quite believe the adhesive will hold without a camper top on it. Got a link to an industrial supply place. They have a sheet of foam that is 9 sq ft and 1/4 inch thick. I believe that it must be used in some technology that in beyond my comprehension, as the sheet is $350.00. Havent checked out the craft supply house, but I think I(and you) need a rather specalized high temp rubber. Still lookin,still like the weather stripping adhesive approach, and still want suggestions. Roger |
