The bleach mix is for getting rid of mildew. There is a better one, that somebody was posting a few days ago, something bio friendly and not caustic. I think, some cleaning with gentle brushing is fine, using some normal cleaner like a good dishwasher. Rinsing it with liberal amount of water is the problem of course, so you have to think ahead. I wonder if there is something dry one could use.
