Don't quit, fix the problem. See below.

To be removed from the list, you must go to the vanagon.com page and follow the links that you used to sign up and you will find how to get off of the list.

It is not by sending an email to the list. You must send an instruction to the server. It tells you how.

Why don't you set up a folder for Vanagons. Then set up a filter to send all the vanagon mail to that folder. Read it when you want, ignore it when you want. The volume won't interfere with your regular inbox.

Or set up another email account with your ISP. Most give you several accounts. Or get a hotmail account or a yahoo account, or a gmail account and send the vanagon list there.

Lots of alternatives to just quitting.
