Strictly speaking gmail doesn't have folders - mail is either in your inbox or "archived". You can edit your existing filters to have mail skip your inbox in addition to being labelled. One difference from the folder system is that mail can have more than one label.

Just click on "create new filter" and you can edit your existing filters. If it is confusing send me another email off list and I can give you more help.

Gmail puts a list of all your labels on the left side of the screen. You click on a certain label and it shows you only the mail that has that label. You can search (with Google's powerful technology) your entire archive or specifically labelled mail for keywords eg. diesel, "Jane Doe", (westy OR westfalia), (fryday OR friday), or whatever.

Geordie.
