That's not what it is about. The big companies have decided that the Internet should not be free. They are not making enough money from it. They would like to be able to offer different tiers of speed, such that higher-paying customers would be provided the fastest and best access and others would have lesser speed and quality.

So something that is free to use, line Vanagon.com, might be boggy and slow, whereas ordering from Amazon.com would be crisp and fast.

It affects us all. Big Business knows they don't need to compete anymore. They just need to have the right politicians in their back pockets.

(Pssst.. They don't like free Wi-FI either)
