I have a front locker and a decoupler - I would sooner install a decoupler with a solid shaft before I would install a front locker. The front locker is used only when the going gets tuff or your really stuck - it is very very hard to steer with the front differential locked. On sand I would rather have 50/50 front rear distribution of power with a decoupler installed before I would want to lock up the front wheels.

Now that the decoupler thread has quieted down some.....could someone please explain the pros and cons and costs and availability of a front differential locker? I'm more inclined to keep a stock VC since the only off-road I plan to do is on the beach. But a front locker might be useful in sand, even with the tires aired down.
