The part numbers are the same as those at Eshocks for the 'Touring' shocks, and I believe that is what they really are. You can see that the pix are all wrong, right? If you actually go to Eshocks and do the reading, you'll see that the real Type II shocks have a different part number.

It's been a while for me, but my memory tells me that split window front shocks have two eyes, top and bottom, not an eye and a pin like Vanagon shocks, so they couldn't interchange
