a few years back when i took my transmission out i ran into the same problem, chunks of aluminum fell out. my solution was to take a bolt and grease it up then put it in what remained of the hole. clean the area well and form it with masking tape put the pieces of aluminum in and fill the rest of the area with jb weld. i've been running that way for about 4 years with no problems. if you coat the bolt with grease or wax then it pulls out after the jb weld sets up and you can make the surfaces flat with a file.

The upper bolt was frozen in place and broke the tab that the bolt goes though, from the transmission housing. My question is, can this be repared or will I need to buy a new(used) transmission? > > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo! Messenger with Voice.
