Interesting, and kinda figured as much. I imagine if this part failed, there might be some bad sounds.... Good to know re: cheaper parts too. Tranny/clutch fine on my Westy, but am sure will have to replace/repair someday so if any internal linkages need replacing, I won't buy the gold coloured, or cheaper, parts.
