Hi Gang...it's been a while, but I'm back... Sold the diesel project Westie (someone came along with the cash I wanted and caught me in "the mood"...) So I'm venturing back into the Vanagon arena with a decent 86 Weekender body, engine basket case, and I'm wondering if anyone has ever stuffed a CIS 1.8 in there against the automatic tranny...or do I stick with the 2.1 and chip it up... I have the diesel oil pan/mounts/pump/manifold etc for the 1.8, but adapting it to the tranny is an issue... Has anyone done this successfully? Thanks for any input...
