There are two air (vacuum?) control valves on the 85 1.9L nestled way up in the uppermost right hand corner of the engine compartment and which connects to the air filter housing via a hose gizmo. Wondering if someone can tell me where the two wires that power this device are suppose to be connected to? Can't find any reference in Bentley or Haynes manuals. What these air or vacuum valves actually do remains a mystery to me. Mine were disconnected by the previous owner and it might be fun hook 'em up to see how their functioning might effect the overall running of the engine. Might help improve gas milage, if they were properly connected? Who knows? Anything that might help improve beastly gas milage is certainly worth a try. Dave davidgunning@pivot.net |
