I'd love to take the kids to Alaska and visit as many national parks out west before they get too old and no longer want to go along. Taking 3 months vacation is not easily done. It would be nice to be a teacher, this would seem easier. I am curious if anyone who has done this type of trip has any suggestions on how they managed the job issue. At some point I would have to return to the "real world".
Just back from four months on the road with my sweetie in our '87 Westy. See our _Travelogue_ (http://travelpod.com/members/frankandrita) for complete details. I work for myself, shut down the business, got a neighbour friend to look after my house and parts sales, voila > done deal ! Rita's a nurse at the local hospital, she just took a four month leave of absence. Now we're spending our summer working our buns off to pay all the bills. It sure was worth it though and we'd do it again in a heartbeat !
