If you have a hitch that bolts to the tie down or tow loops then they
typically have a maximum tongue weight of 150 lbs. That includes any
carrier even before you load something on it.
Even if you had a "Dennis Haynes" hitch, I'm not so sure that hanging
about 250 lbs off the back where the lever action would give it a
greater effect than the weight alone suggests, would be a good idea.
If it were me, I'd put it on a small motorcycle trailer where there
would be no such concern.
