We put our tandem on a Blue Ox hitch mounted carrier...the carrier is made
for 4 bikes (which is laughable unless 2 or 3 are children's bikes). On the
Motorhome it didn't stick out the sides at all...on the full size Ford Van
it stuck out on one side...until the handlebars turned...
