Well, I will be installing a Behr in dash unit in my 88 Doka. I might install the Klima over head as Kim describes in response to your query in my 89 Doka. I will also be taking Dan Flemings suggestion to put one together from Vintage Air or similar aftermarket air available for hotrods. They have a universal kit which looks like it may easily fit behind the dash. I find the prospect of a having a contemporary system more appealing.

I have seen the Klima overhead AC in Doka before. Fits exactly as Kim describes. I have not seen the Behr in a Doka but they fit nicely in Vanagons. They do take up a chunk of the space normally occupied by the glovebox. Should be perfect for a Doka. Tristars do have gloveboxes much like my 88 Canadian Doka. You would have to give that up for the Behr. Or at least make it only big enough for maps. Volume of air should be more than adequate for the small cabin of a Doka.

Cheers,

BenT
