Hi Maggie.

I'm fairly new to Westies. I too didn't know about the flue vent cover.

The flue vent cover is an extra piece that you cover flue with when van is stored or unused for any length of time. I have seen, online, homemade solutions for that purpose. i.e. some kind of plastic (tupperware or equiv.) piece modified to fit. I believe you can still get an OEM or equiv. part.

I haven't used one yet, but understand that cover is meant to keep water/dirt/spiders etc out. i.e. when I serviced my fridge, I found a couple of spiders in combustion chamber.......
