I am sure that with this group you could get quite a few folks to volunteer
to do it.  I would jump at the chance.  I live in So Cal and my girlfriend
has family in the Anchorage area.

We actually made part of the trip from Anchorage to Los Angeles but it was
cut short when my girlfriend hit a Buffalo in Northern BC.  It was a bout
10-20 km south of the Liard Hot Springs so be aware.

We spent the next 60 hours on a Greyhound bus; it was no VW Bus
unfortunately.
