dont press the ODO reset button while the vehicle is moving.. this is a common no-no with all VAG products. others may balk at this, but ive had it happen a few times.

the little gear on your odo prolly came off. remove your speedo, and just pop the gear back on. simple. just dont torque those little speedo screws down too tight or you'll crack the screw bosses in the cluster housing worse than they probably aready are.. (Devcon brand plastic welder is a good fix for that)
