I don't have any direct experience with mixing colors on the wasserboxer, but a dozen years ago I went through the exact same thing with my 280Z. Two of the factory installed yellow body bosch injectors went bad and the brand new replacements I got from the Nissan dealership were green. The service techs both there and at the local Z car specialist garage assured me they were fully compatible, the only difference being a very minor improvement in nozzle shape to address some very specific condition not relevant to the particular L-jetronic implementaion in the 280Z. They said that while bosch does indeed make different flow rate units different colors, they'd also change colors for design iterations like that. Given that they only have a half dozen colors, they're already guaranteed to run out of unique colors just covering the dozen-plus flow rates in their catalog. The general consensus is that color is just meant as an easy "quick check" for the technician, but the only the part number can tell for sure.
