Quoting Tim Demarest <tim.demarest@POBOX.COM>: > I hope you pulled and cleaned the throttle body first... it's amazing what > gunk between the throttle plae and throttle body can do to the switch gaps. > > Tim Indeed I did, when I replaced the switch and cam about a year ago. It was pretty clean then, and I certainly hope it doesn't gunk up significantly in a year. I think my mistake was to set the switch to spec, then assume it was good for the duration instead of going back periodically to see if the setting held. I'll be adding that to my maintenance schedule for sure, now. Such an easy thing to do, and when I think of all the effort I expended tapping the gas while driving! If I have a relapse in the idle department, I'll certainly check the throttle body again...thanks for the reminder! In fact, I'll check that the mounting screws are still tight this evening. Cheers!
