To some extent, I'll agree with Mark. However, since you had the
drain out, take a look at the oil too. If the oil has a metallic look
to it, you will be needing transmission work ASAP. If the oil looks
fine, and you have reason to believe it hasn't been changed in a
while, then you probably will be okay.

Please note - During the past 17 years of operation, several gigabytes of Vanagon mail messages have been archived. Searching the entire collection will take up to five minutes to complete. Please be patient!
