Mindy,

Ten years ago this would have been the right list, but the original VW bus list has split into three main groups with numerous offshoots. Vanagons are the 1979 and later model rear engined VW buses, sounds like yours are splitties, definately more vintage.

You need to contact the people on the vintage bus list. Go to http://www.type2.com/ and click on vintage bus.

Thats where all the people with 1950-1967 buses hang out. Spend some time with the archives and introduce yourself. I am sure you can get plenty of help.
