I took a 82 diesel radiator to the radiator shop(where else?)for testing. The tech put his fingernail right through the tube where coolent cools. Not much effort, and he wasnt a comic book super hero , either. 1 roached rad. Well , I was told that the corrosion was from the outside, to the inside. Road salt was the villan. The long coolant tubes from the engine ,corrode from the outside to the inside too.
