See if you have a VW club on your area-city. These are the people that can give you up close and personal information. Also if you are not going to do any work on it yourself they can recommend a good local shop that will. There is also is a Bus Rescue group than can-will help you out on the road, with a lot of volunteers on that list. I don't remember where it is at, but all you should have to do is ask. Also your local club will have shows, road trip adventures, local ones, and maybe longer camping ones too.

While, in some options, they may not be the best bus, because of the older suspension, smaller engines and a few other thing, a lot of folks may think they are the best looking ones. Most of all have fun.
