No, the 88 GL springs are taller than the Wolfy and Carat springs. I have an 88GL and a 87 Wolfy in the driveway.

As for any real difference between the Wolfy and Carat versions I don't know but I doubt it. Why not mark and pull a single spring from the left front side of each van? Then compare them for number of coils and get a precise measurement of the diameter of the wire at the same spot on each spring. Measuring the height of the vehicle proves little since they could have lived much different lives and the springs could be sagged. Any vehicle measuring to be done would be from the center of an axle to the fender lip. The vehicles need to be on firm level ground with the tires on each vehicle pumped to similar pressures all around. If precision is desired. Move each vehicle a few times and take measurements each time to check for consistency.
