Hmmmm, Joy perhaps he means that he stores the watertank on the roof when it's not hooked up to the drain. Rub that Charles River Beaver ring a little more often. Works for me. Sharpens whatever neural networks still remain at the end of the day.

A recyclable solution is a large plastic laundry detergent jug and a short piece of used and discarded garden hose. Screw the short piece of hose onto the drain. You'll note that it may just thread on fine. Mine did. Put the outlet end into the screw off cap hole in the detergent jug, cleverly reserving the cap for transport of the full container. Be miserly about the water using a dual purpose dishpan/RevereWare dutch oven that happens to fit perfectly into the Westy Sink and you can camp for quite a while without needing to empty the jug which has a convenient handle on top for carrying over to the loo-with-a-view for disposal or of course your favorite ufficially designated disposal site. Remember it's only grey water, the same stuff with which I water my garden. Use a little screen drain in the sink to catch various tasty bits so they can be tossed with your bag of trash into the properly designated and maintained disposal device thing. The recyclable jug can be used to douse the campfire and will a full season until it inevitably is crushed under the wheels when forgotten in the haste to move on. I place the cap in the speedometer well so there is a little reminder to 'take out the papers and the trash' along with the grey water thing. Canyonlands NP Supt. Walt Dabney approved the rig for riverside camping however that was a few years back. CANY requires a portable self contained toilet and and a greywater container for each occupied campsite. The jug is free at most laundromats. The Revereware stainless dutch oven is a rare treasure sometimes found at second hand stores such as Goodwill, Purple Heart Veterans, or hospice shops. The garden hose is recycled from the last punctured hose you found along the way. To make a short piece out of the long piece proficiency with a cavalry saber, machete, bolo or similar is handy. Improvise, adapt, overcome.
