I'm more used to seeing water at 200-210F. The thermostat begins to open earlier, but isn't wide open until higher. It is actually better for the oil to run more like 215-220F so as to boil the water off. Moisture in the air condenses on the inside of the motor when cool, and needs to be driven off. Jake
